Hemmingway Museum Wedding // Amber & Nick

Sometimes in life you just need to stop and take a second to reflect on how things have unraveled in your life. We don’t know it in the moment, but one day the situations we are in eventually come full circle. I had the honor of photographing my first wedding in Key West this past weekend. Five years ago, I was a bridesmaid in a Key West wedding. The sole reason I picked up a camera again was because of that experience. I saw the photographer capturing beautiful moments right in front of me and thats when I knew I wanted to do THAT. When I got home, I started shooting and shooting, took photos for family and friends, pretty much anything I could get my hands on and eventually the rest is history. If I never attended that wedding, I wouldn’t be where I am with my photography. I’m not sure if I would have ever picked up my camera again. Life is beautiful and you really just need to enjoy the ride.

November of last year, Amber and Nick reached out to me to photograph their engagement photos. I had this awesome, beautiful, tatted up couple that I knew were going to make these photos freaking amazing. Little do they know, their engagement session helped me become inspired with my photos again. Everything about that shoot from the way they interacted with each other, the location, the lighting made my creativity spark. I was ecstatic that they asked me to shoot their wedding at The Ernest Hemmingway Museum in Key West the following year. This past weekend, we made magic in the Florida sun. Amber and Nick, I am forever grateful for this opportunity, thank you.

KEY WEST GETAWAY // Lisa & Jason

I had the most amazing time in Key West this past weekend. Sneaky little Tropical Storm Gordon couldn't even ruin it!

Lisa and Jason spent this Labor Day weekend in the cutest VRBO in the heart of Key West. I had the chance to explore this amazing town with them and meet their adorable fur babies.

As if Key West wasn't beautiful enough, it doesn't even compare to Lisa and Jason's love. Lisa shared with me that her and Jason spent 8 years living long distance. As hard as I know that can be, they fought through and are now happily married. What's meant to be will be and it is clear that these two cuties were.
